With accessibility problems overcome it is important not to become complacent. With over 1.6 million people in the UK alone relying on visual and audio aids, you need to be careful not to discriminate against them also. We can supply a range of induction loop systems, pager systems and alarm systems to meet your needs.
Induction loop systems (or to give them their full name: Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems - AFILS) are used to assist the hearing impaired by transmitting amplified sound, i.e., music, speech, etc, to hearing aids fitted with a telecoil. (NHS and most other third party hearing aids are fitted with telecoils.) Demand for AFILS is increasing due to new legislation aimed at preventing discrimination against disabled people.
Visual Aid Products
With the majority of the visually impaired being partially sighted it is important to provide Visual aids signs or documents in large/clear print, preferably embossed and containing Braille. Spoken announcements or verbal communication should be provided along with audio recorded information and magnifiers where appropriate.
